Karly Ackermann is an instructor and PhD candidate at South Dakota State University, and loves teaching biology and genetics courses. Karly earned her Master's degree at Bemidji State University in biology and is a lifelong learner. She truly enjoys the intersection of science and creativity that comes with the VR Cell application and other projects happening at STEMersive Labs, and is excited to see the improved student experience and outcomes associated with virtual reality applications in education. Karly's goal is to continue leading the team to provide high quality cutting-edge technology to STEM students of all backgrounds, to prepare them for future success. She continues to research the most effective methods of incorporating virtual reality in schools alongside existing curricula.
